Segments and Note 19: Geographic Areas. Starting in the first quarter of 2026, the Real Estate, Energy and Natural Resources (Real Estate ENR) segment will be renamed Strategic Land Solutions. The segment will include the following businesses: Real Estate, Natural Resources, and Climate Solutions. The health of the U.S. housing market strongly affects the performance of all our business segments. Our Wood Products segment primarily sells into the new residential building and repair and remodel markets. Demand for sawlogs within our Timberlands segment is directly affected by domestic production of wood-based building products as well as export markets. Seasonal weather patterns impact the level of construction activity in the U.S., generally characterized by a reduction in activity during the winter months, which in turn affects the demand for our logs and wood products.
